UPAAA Pre-centennial Convention and Alumni Reunion

Please save these dates, Sept. 1-3, 2007, for attending the UP Alumni Association of America (UPAAA) Pre-centennial Convention and Alumni Reunion of 2007. The 3-day affair will be held at the Hilton San Francisco Financial District and features the Address to the UP Alumni by the UP President, Dr, Emerlinda Roman. The Convention starts the celebration of UP’s Centennial Year, which begins in 2007 and culminates in a big homecoming to the Diliman campus in 2008.   • Venture Capitalist Dado & Maria Banatao donates $ 500,000 to UP
  • Dr. Mag Albaracin announces a $ 400,000 matching grant for College of Engineering
  • Sid Consunji likewise pledges another $ 400,000 matching grant also for the College of Engineering
  • Attended by special guests from the Philippines: UP President Emer Roman, Senator Ed Angara, Mr. John Lu Koa, Dylan Wilk of Gawad Kalinga, Engr Tony Herrera, and Andy Manalac representative of the Vice President
