Mica has been an active contributor to the UP Alumni Association of San Francisco (UPAASF) and served as the Public Relations Officer from 2019 to 2020 and as a Board Member from 2021 to 2022. In these roles, she led the development of various communication campaigns and implemented a modernized digital presence, including the website revamp. Currently, she co-leads the UPAASF Alumni Mentoring Program, the first initiative of its kind by a UP alumni chapter, launched in 2023, in collaboration with the UP Office of Student Development Services and sponsored by UP President Jijil Jimenez. This program bridges alumni and students, fostering mentorship, career guidance, and deeper connections within the UP community.

Professionally, Mica leads the global Workforce Analytics team at Equinix, a Fortune 500 digital infrastructure company headquartered in Redwood City, California. Her work focuses on delivering talent insights that inform strategic workforce decisions across the enterprise. She is also an experienced speaker, having shared her expertise on Culture and Predictive Analytics at the People Analytics World Conference.

Her academic achievements include a Ph.D. in Human Capital Management from Bellevue University in Nebraska, a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Ateneo de Manila University), a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, along with a B.S degree in Family Life and Child Development, graduating cum laude from University of the Philippines- Diliman. In 2019, she also completed the Harvard Business Analytics Program (Boston Massachusetts) alongside industry leaders in analytics and data science. She is married to Dr. Zigfred Viray, a fellow UP alumnus and UPAASF mentor.
