
Rosario Calderon
Chairperson
Rosario "Chato" Calderon is a seasoned corporate executive and entrepreneur with forty years of experience in clean energy, environment, international development, and government and business relations. She serves as Chair of UPAASF, current Advisor and former President to UP Engineering and Development Foundation (UPERDFI), Chair of San Francisco SCORE, and an Angel Investor and Entrepreneur. Her professional journey is defined by servant leadership in corporate and professional organizations, investments in technological and educational advancement, and impactful community service. Chato's goal is to support the success of small businesses, commercialize technological innovation, invest in excellent STEM education, and serve the underserved. As certified mentor at SF SCORE, a US Small Business Administration partner, she has counselled hundreds of small businesses in the U.S. to thrive and succeed. She is the CEO of SMaRT Impact Ventures LLC, an education, publishing, and investment company that integrates faith and business. Chato is an author and speaker in her faith driven advocacy for Christians to be faithful and fruitful in the global marketplace.
Chato has a BS Civil Engineering degree from the UP College of Engineering and Masters in Business Administration from Syracuse University (NY) and Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School (MA). She received her Doctor of Intercultural Studies at Western Seminary (OR). She was a U.S. State Department Senior Energy Advisor of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in Pakistan, Vietnam, and the Philippines. As a USAID officer and U.S. corporate executive, her multimillion-dollar energy and power generation projects have supported the U.S. and Asian countries' energy independence and economic growth.
